I was, admittedly, turned to this book by Netflix's "The Crown". Bagehot does an excellent job of making his case (Though in posterity, the case may have changed quickly)/5.
I purchased this after a law professor opined that it was the best book on the English Constitution (and made constitutional government in general) and it was then referenced on "The Crown." Good introduction.
